2016: S8's Year in Review

December 31, 2016

2016 has been an amazing year for all of us at S8. While we officially got going in 2015, the first few months of this project were devoted to developing our core products: the S8 RED Stencil System. Then came designing packaging and actually making the stuff. When we *finally* debuted the S8 RED Stencil Kit Box last January, it genuinely felt like we had been working on this project for a decade. But the work never ends.

Since January, we have introduced new packaging formats for our core products- from small quantities of the RED Tattooing Gel to bulk packs of RED Stencil Transfer Gel and (what is fast becoming our best selling product) the RED Stencil Roll. This summer, we rolled out our RED Needle Cleaner and Soap, products that save professional tattooists time and money while improving the experience and outcomes for clients.

This fall, we debuted our partnership with Brother Mobile Solutions and the resulting S8 Stencil Printer. The S8 Stencil Printer represents a huge leap for S8, and it is only a first step. Within the next year, we will be able to offer a set of machines that completely replaces traditional thermographic printers- tattoo artists will able to take advantage of all flexibility that digital affords without sacrificing the comfort and ease that thermographic printers afforded.

We've gotten a lot done in a year. With new products for every season, from spaces as varied as stencil paper to water additives to digital printers, S8 is the fastest growing tattoo products manufacturer and we have no intention of stopping. Next year, we will continue this trend of rapid product introduction- new products every quarter for tattooers and clients that improve the safety, creativity, and capacity of tattooing in the United States and around the world. We will continue to critically examine all of the ingredients available to us to ensure that clients and tattooers are able to use the highest quality and most cutting edge products.

But this goes beyond products. Over the past year, we've been on the road- the S8 Tattoo Roadshow made five stops between August and October. We hosted conversations and ran educational seminars as a means of encouraging tattooers and their clients to ask critical questions of tattoo product manufacturers. And we were incredibly honored by the amazing artists, designers, apprentices, collectors, and curious non-tattooed people that we spoke with over the past year.

We have been so thrilled by the amount of headway we've made in a year, and we are ready to begin work in 2017. Expect Blue.

S8. Commit to Ink.
