S8 Stencil Printer News

March 31, 2017 2 Comments

The S8 team has been slaving away on a handful of projects that will very soon see the light of day, however we wanted to shoot a quick little update out about the S8 Stencil Printer.

S8 has been so honored by all the support that we've been shown by tattooers as we introduced our Stencil Printer. From good reviews to helpful insight, artists have helped us continue to build upon the runaway success of this machine. Its this sort of encouragement that pushes us to tackle more interesting and complex problems.

As we've indicated before, we see the S8 Stencil Printer as the cornerstone of a handful of solutions that will allow artists greater freedom at improved operating costs. As such, we are committed to making improvements on the S8 Stencil Printer. The largest issues that tattooers face with the Stencil Printer currently are related to cost, convenience, and compatibility with "analog artwork."

On the issue of cost, S8 is currently working to set up a program to increase accessibility for tattooers. While we don't have a timeline, please email info@s8tattoo.com to see if you are eligible to be part of our future pilot program.

On the topic of convenience, S8 is working to develop prototypes that will improve the artist experience while driving down operating costs and time spent. While we don't have a timeline, any artist who purchases an S8 Stencil Printer through us will be notified in advance of a formal product launch.

Analog compatibility has been a priority since the very start of product development, and we believe we finally have prototypes that are fully compatible with the S8 Stencil Printer in most artist use-cases.

This product has been a tremendously large project for us, partly because we see just how much need there is in the tattooing community for new printing modalities. But we also see the potential. With less time spent wrenching on a thermofax, tattooers are able to prioritize their craft. And as we are able to offer improved ways to maximize the time savings, we will make them available to tattooers.
